Creating Tag Sets for Attribute Exchange

Once your administrator configures an attribute class for MicroStation attribute exchange in ProjectWise Administrator, you can get started creating the corresponding tag set in integrated MicroStation. The name of the tag set must match the name of the corresponding attribute class in ProjectWise Administrator. Once you create the tag set, the next step is to add tags to it. The name you give a tag must match the name of an attribute in the corresponding attribute class. Note, you do not have to add a tag for each attribute in the corresponding attribute class, but you can.

To Create a Tag Set for Attribute Exchange

  1. In integrated MicroStation, select Element > Tags > Define.
  2. In the Tag Sets dialog, in the Sets section, click Add.
  3. In the Tag Set Name dialog that opens, enter a name for your tag set and click OK. The name you give the tag set must match the name of the corresponding attribute class in ProjectWise Administrator.
  4. Back in the Tag Sets dialog, in the Tags section, click Add.
  5. In the Define Tag dialog that opens:

    — In the Tag Name field, enter a name for the tag. The name you give the tag must match the name of an attribute in the corresponding attribute class.

    — Edit other fields as necessary.

    — Click OK.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add more tags to your tag set.
